BEIJING, June 19: Three leading magazines of China will hold a photo exhibition on Pakistan social and cultural life in Beijing on June 28. The show would introduce Pakistan’s picturesque beauty to the Chinese people, especially youth, and was aimed at promoting people-to-people contact and tourism between the two countries, said the managing director of the City Tourism Magazine.

Other magazines, arranging the exhibition in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy are China National Geographic and Deep.

The magazines’ photo-journalists during their visit to Pakistan on the occasion of Gandhara Art Festival had collected hundreds of photographs for the show.

The magazines also published special supplements on Pakistan, depicting some landscapes and scenic spots.

Official sources said that the China State Council Information Department has printed a ‘Pakistan friendship pictorial’ both in English and Chinese version that would also be put on display.

The exhibition would also include some major publications written by the Chinese authors on Pakistan’s traditional and cultural life.—APP
