LANDI KOTAL: Power supply to entire Landi Kotal tehsil of Khyber tribal district was suspended when gusty winds uprooted two pylons in the region early on Saturday morning.

Local grid station staff said the knocking down of pylons caused disruption in main power supply from Peshawar. The sudden power supply suspension also caused disruption in water supply to a majority of residents.

The grid station staff said it would take ‘sometime’ to repair the damaged pylons and restore power supply to Landi Kotal.

Local residents, however, said they had not seen any activity about repair of pylons and restoration of power supply.
