KARACHI, June 19: A meeting held under the chairmanship of Naib Nazim Tariq Hasan discussed the preparations for coming local bodies elections and the line of action to be pursued.

In the meeting held in the old KMC building on Saturday evening, Tariq Hasan pledged to achieve significant win through collective efforts and by giving up personal differences and interest.

The policies concerning city council, town nazim, union council and minority and labour seats were explained.

Tariq Hasan said that if anyone had any complaint against him, he could express the same openly. He said that freedom of expression was the right of everyone, but there should not be any dispute over the policy of the Pakistan Muslim League.

He said he had joined PML as an ordinary worker and still considered himself as an ordinary worker. He said that he had tried to fulfil the responsibilities by keeping himself above all personal interests.—APP
