HYDERABAD: A judicial magistrate of Hala on Tuesday handed over the custody of an 11-year-old girl, recovered a day earlier after she had left her house four days ago, to her mother and asked her to deposit a bond of Rs500,000 that no harm would be caused to the young girl.

The Matiari police produced them before the civil judge and judicial magistrate-I, Hala, stating that the boy and girl were recovered from Sehwan late on Monday evening.

The magistrate also remanded the boy in judicial custody.

The girl’s brother had lodged an FIR against the boy accusing him of having kidnapped her. However, recording her statement before the magistrate, the girl denied having been kidnapped.

The JM handed over the girl to her mother considering that she was underage. The girl is to be produced before a court on Oct 25.
