SHEIKHUPURA, June 17: A two-member conciliatory committee comprising Government College principal Prof Ghulam Rasool Azad and MPA Mian Khalid Mahmood has succeeded in resolving a dispute between kiln owners and labourers federation.

This was informed by committee members while talking to reporters here on Friday.

Committee members said Rs184 per 1,000 ‘pathyara’ rates continuing for the last many years had been increased to Rs250.

While kilns owners were advised to provide all facilities, including loan on emergency basis, medical, education to the children of labourers and residence to workers.

They said that a written agreement had been reached between kiln owners and labourers federation in this respect.
