KARACHI: The Sindh excise and taxation department is set to launch a province-wide campaign on Monday (today) to take action against the defaulters of motor vehicle tax and unregistered vehicles.

The campaign would last till Nov 1, said Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla while presiding over a meeting here in his office.

The meeting was informed that 11 teams had been constituted in Karachi to nab the tax defaulting vehicles at 38 places.

For facilitating the defaulters, tax can be deposited in 12 branches of the National Bank of Pakistan in Karachi including Awami Markaz, Shaheed Millat Road, DHA Phase 1, Clifton, Korangi Industrial, M.A. Jinnah Road, Denso Hall, SITE, Nazimabad, PIDC, I. I. Chundrigar Road and Gulshan-e-Hadeed.

In Hyderabad, the vehicle tax may be deposited in NBP branches at Shahbaz Building and Fatima Jinnah Road.
