MULTAN: The three-day Urs of Bahauddin Zakariya, Khwaja Suleman Taunsvi and Khwaja Nizam Mahmood Taunsvi concluded on Wednesday in Multan and Taunsa Sharif with special prayers for the progress, prosperity and security of the country.
The 779th Urs of Bahauddin Zakariya concluded at his shrine at Qila Kuhna Qasim Bagh with a sermon by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the successor of the saint.
He told the congregation of devotees that he had been hosting the Urs for long but this year the number of devotees seemed higher than it was in the past. He prayed for the stability and prosperity of the country and success of the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination. Also, the Urs of Khwaja Shah Muhammad Suleman Taunsvi and Khwaja Nizamuddin Taunsvi concluded in Taunsa Sharif, Dera Ghazi Khan.
