AMMAN: Israeli occupation forces have destroyed the stairs of entrance to Ibrahim’s Mosque in the occupied Jordanian city of Hebron “in reprisal” for last week’s grenade explosion which injured 47 Israeli Jews at the Tomb of Patriarchs (attached with Ibrahim’s Mosque), it was officially announced in Tel Aviv today [Oct 13].

The dynamiting of three more Arab houses today was also announced in Tel Aviv. The number of houses so far blown up by the occupation forces in Hebron is now 11. According to Amman newspaper reports, terror has been let loose by the Israelis in the occupied city. A Tel Aviv statement has confirmed the arrest of 32 people so far.

At Nablus today, according to Tel Aviv reports, Israeli police broke up a demonstration by several hundred striking school students as they protested against the blowing up of the Arab houses. The students’ demonstration was authorised by the Israeli occupation forces, but it was broken up when the students refused to disperse afterwards. A number of arrests were made.

The destroyed stairs to the east entrance of Ibrahim’s Mosque were used by the Muslim faithful to go to pray in the mosque. From now on, the Muslims will have to use the Jews’ entrance to the Tomb of Patriarchs.
