ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and four others were injured in a road accident in F-10/3 on Saturday.

According to the police, a car crashed into a pickup after its driver lost control over the vehicle due to speeding. As a result five occupants of the pick-up suffered multiple injuries. The driver of the car managed to escape.

The injured were shifted to a hospital where Mohammad Munir was pronounced dead. The other victims were provided medical assistance and their condition was stated to be stable.

Separately, four persons armed with weapons raided the house of Jaffer Mehdi in F-11/4 and held the residents at gunpoint. They looted ornaments, and valuables worth Rs700,000 from the house and escaped.

Some thieves struck at a house of Rukhsana Bibi in G-9/1 and made off with cash and gold ornaments worth Rs400,000.

In another similar incident, thieves stole Rs100,000 in cash from the a house of Asad Naveed in F-7/3.

Furthermore, some auto-thieves lifted motorcycle of Faisal Mehmood from the parking area of a hospital in H-9, they added.
