ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri will go live on the commission’s web-based television channel, Higher Education EduTV, once in a month from Oct 18.

According to a statement, the basic objective of the EduTV is to address the critical need for improving communication with the stakeholders and creating awareness about the national higher education standards, quality assurance policies and procedures, financial management, governance and regulatory arrangement.

The EduTV was launched last year with an aim to uplift the standard of higher education culture and offer education counseling services to citizens.

The statement said that following the success of EduTV online sessions, Dr Banuri has decided to communicate with pertinent audiences through the TV.

The programme will be aired regularly with live interaction via social media platform.
