DERA MURAD JAMALI: A villager shot dead his wife and a man in the name of honour near the Usta Mohammad area of Jaffarabad district on Thursday night, police said.
Phunal Khan Dashti allegedly opened fire on his wife Sassi and her alleged paramour Irshad Ali Dashti in Goth Sher Khan, killing them both, police said, adding the accused fled the scene after the incident.
The bodies were taken to the district hospital of Dera Murad Jamali by the police before being handed over to heirs.
“It is a case of honour killing,” a senior police officer told Dawn, adding that police were conducting raids to arrest the killer.
