Wapda took six points by virtue of their seven-wicket triumph over Multan at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The hosts, overnight 98-4, were all out for 167 in their second wickets with slow left-armer Khalid Usman snaring 5-37 in 28.4 overs.

Ali’s 109-ball contributed altogether included 14 fours and three sixes as he outscored Wapda captain Salman Butt (49) in their third-wicket partnership of 116.

PTV chalked up a 45-run success against Lahore Blues by bowling out the regional side for 264 at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.

Lahore Blues, who began the day at 19-1, were well served by Irfan Haider (66 not out) and Rizwan Hussain (55) but still fell short of the 310-run target as ex-Pakistan spinner Raza Hasan picked up four wickets for 63 runs in 30.1 overs.

Karachi Whites held off SSGCL’s victory charge successfully here at the National Stadium while making a brilliant recovery from 118-5 to collect 230-6 in their second innings after the departmental outfit closed their first innings at the Monday’s total of 531-9.

Hasan, the gutsy wicket-keeper/batsman who scored 125 in the first innings, led the rearguard action by contributing exactly 100 from 166 balls in 265 minutes of crease occupation while hitting 16 boundaries.

Hasan received tremendous support from young Hassaan Khan (36 off 108 balls, three fours) as the duo put on 112 for the unbroken seven-wicket stand in 136 minutes after paceman Sohail Khan (2-61) and Ahmed Jamal (3-66) had made early inroads.
