Waqas named skipper

KARACHI, June 11: Waqas Haroon was on Saturday named to lead KCCA Zone-VI in the PCB Inter-district under-19 cricket championship. The KCCA selection committee comprising ex-Test pace bowler Anwar Khan, Zafar Ahmed, Shaukat Mirza and Iftikhar Ahmed picked the following squad:

Waqas Haroon (captain), Owais Ahmed Rehmani (vice-captain), Sarfraz Ahmed, Hassan Raza, Hasnain Rizvi, Saad Sukhail, Asif Hameed, Misbah Khan, Raheelur Rahman, Anwar Ali, Zaheer Abbas, Nabeel Hashmi, Tauqir Khalid, Shakir Ali, Shoaib Lodhi, Wasim Ali, Daulat Khan, Zakir Afridi, Abdul Moid.

Team officials are Iftikhar Ahmed (coach) M. Akram Khan (manager) and Haider Ali Sanam (associate manager).

The selected players have been asked to report at the Customs Cricket Academy (Federal ‘B’ Area) on Monday at 3.00pm for nets in proper kit.
