Eight injured as bus overturns

KHANEWAL: Eight passengers were injured when a bus overturned after hitting an electricity pole near Niazi Chowk on Thursday.

According to sources, a bus coming from Lahore hit a roadside electricity pole and turned turtle in a bid to avert collision with a pickup.

The accident left eight passengers, including Ali Sher, Zeeshan, Boota, Mubeen Akhtar, Nazar, Meraj Bibi and Muhammad Sharif, injured.

Rescuers provided first aid to all the injured and shifted three of them to a hospital.
