PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced that power supply will remain suspended from three to eight hours on Aug 20 and 21 due to maintenance work on transmission lines in Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement here on Friday, in Peshawar the power supply would remain suspended from 9am to 12 noon which will affect the consumers in areas, including Sonehri Masjid, PAF, Malakander, Canal Town, University Campus, Old Bara Road, Jamaluddin, New KTH, Kohat Road and Gulberg.

The consumers of Yosufzai, Village 1 and 2, RMC, Kalabat, Topi, Batakar and Minai will suffer power suspension on Aug 20 from 8am to 2pm.

In Swat, the consumers of Marghazar, Mingora, Takhtaband, Singar, Haji Baba, Bara Bandai, Saidu Baba , Saidu Sharif, Qamber, Kabal, Malam Jaba, Barikot, Charbagh, Khwazakhela, Shangla, Shawar, Chopriyal and Matta will face inconvenience from 7am to 1pm.

In Swabi, the Pesco consumers of Marghuz will face power suspension from 7am to 1pm. In Dera Ismail Khan, the consumer of Town Hall, city, Muryali and Qayyum Nagar will also face inconvenience for the same period, while the people in Gomal University campus, Kulachi Wala and Nawashehr would be affected from 8am to 2pm.

In Hazara, the consumers of Haripur and Havelian will be affected from 8am to 4pm; and those of Mansehra, Balakot, Battal, Oghi, Thakot and Bisham from 9am to 4pm. In Mardan, the power supply will remain suspended from 8am to 2pm in areas, including Charsadda Road, Gujar Ghari, Doranabad, Bank Road, Gaju Khan, Sheikh Maltoon and Rashakai.
