OGDCL vacancies

Published August 16, 2018

OGDCL advertised some posts of assistant engineers about nine months ago for which written tests were conducted by NTS on March 18.

In view of the impending elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) slapped a ban on fresh recruitments in government departments on April 1. But the ECP in its notification exempted from ban the tests/interviews conducted before April 1.

But despite this clear directive, the OGDCL has been dragging its feet to conduct interviews of those candidates who have passed the test, thus depriving the unemployed engineering graduates of their right of jobs.

The entire process has been kept in limbo for the last more than nine months for no valid reason. This clearly smacks of some vested interests on part of some well connected individuals. They want to sabotage the whole process.

Will any body from the ministry concerned or higher judiciary look into this issue and intervene?
