TOBA TEK SINGH: Six members of a family were injured when the car they were travelling by collided with a truck near motorway (M-4) Gojra interchange on Wednesday.

The Gojra Saddar police said Muhammad Shahzad, Muhammad Waqas, Sobia Perveen, Samreen Bibi and two children Ali Hasan and Sania were on their way home at Pirmahal from Faisalabad by a car when it collided with a truck on Gojra-Jhang Road.

All the car occupants were injured and taken to Gojra’s THQ hospital to which both children were admitted and the four elders were referred to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital in a critical condition.

In another accident, five people were injured when two motorcycles collided on Gojra-Jhang Road.

The Saddar police said Khalid, a resident of Chak 426-JB, Khalida, Saira and Kausar were on their way to Gojra by a motorcycle when it collided with another motorcycle driven by Falaksher. Critically injured, all the motorcyclists were admitted to the Gojra THQ hospital from where doctors referred Khalid to Allied Hospital.

At Pirmahal, a car hit motorcyclist Sabir Ali near level crossing as a result of which he died on the spot.

FOUND DEAD: A missing man was found dead in a drain near Nawan Lahore on Wednesday.

The Nawan Lahore police said Allah Ditta of Chak 415-JB had been missing from his house for the last two days and his family had tried its best to find him out. They recovered his body in a drain near Chak 348-JB, Maqboolpur.

Police shifted the body to a rural health centre for autopsy.

SPECIAL WARD: A ward for transpersons has been set up in Gojra’s THQ hospital.

The community’s focal person, Madam Chanda Bibi, inaugurated the ward.

Besides, a one-day health camp was set up in the hospital and many transpersons had their medical checkup, tests and scanning free of cost.

Social welfare officer Tayyab Bhatti was also present.
