NAWABSHAH, June 8: An ASI and two police constables of Buchheri police post, Daur police station, have been accused of killing a PCO owner in Buchheri town. Rustam Ali Sehto, a PCO owner in Buchheri, demanded his money from ASI Hafeez Rind and police constables Mushtaq Rind and Mehar Ali Shahi, when they came to his PCO for making a phone call.

The PCO owner’s demand infuriated the three, who abused the latter and later shot him dead and escaped.

Later, relatives of the deceased staged a demonstration and a sit-in by putting the body in front of DPO’s office.

Rafiq Sehto, brother of the deceased, told reporters that the policemen had to pay Rs450 to his brother for calls made earlier and they were drunk.

Under the directives of DPO Rustam Khan Jatoi, SHO Daur police station lodged an FIR against the ASI and constables of Buchheri police under section 302, 324, 34 PPC.—BoC
