TAXILA: Police on Monday booked a man for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy in Thatta Khalil area in the Taxila police station limits.

Mohammad Arif, a resident of Muslim colony, reported to the police that his orphaned nephew, who works at a local hotel, was taken by the accused to his under-construction house in Thatta Khalil area on Aug 9 where he kept him in illegal confinement and assaulted him.

On Monday, the boy managed to escape and returned home and told his ordeal to his uncle who took him to the police station.

Police took him to a hospital where medical examination confirmed that he was sexually assaulted.

Police have registered a case against the accused and started further investigation.
