Naval chief lauds troops’ operational readiness

GWADAR: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on Friday visited forward posts at Shumal Bandar to review operational readiness of the troops deployed in the area.

According to the public relations wing of Pakistan Navy, upon his arrival the naval chief was received by Commander Coast Rear Admiral Moazzam Ilyas.

Later, a comprehensive briefing was given to him about strategic importance of the forward post and steps taken by the battalion to ensure defence of the designated coastal belt.

Admiral Abbasi expressed satisfaction on the operational readiness of the troops and emphasised the need to maintain their optimal alacrity to ensure seaward defence.

During his visit, the naval chief interacted with the troops deployed on the coastal base and appreciated their morale and selfless commitment to defend the maritime frontiers of the country.

He also appreciated the participation of Pakistan Navy personnel in the successful conduct of 2018 elections.
