WASHINGTON, June 7: Prof Adibul Hasan Rizvi, Director of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, Karachi, has been conferred an honourary PhD degree by the University of Massachusetts at a ceremony held in Worcester in the United States. An investiture ceremony was held in which Prof Rizvi was formally acknowledged by the university’s Chancellor Dr Aaron Lazare at the Hoagland-Pincus Conference Centre on Sunday.

Earlier, the citation was read out, which said: “It is a tribute to Dr Rizvi’s magnificent humanitarian contributions to medicine and science.”—APP
