HYDERABAD: Defending champions Hyderabad retained the regional inter-district senior (Hyderabad) cricket title by defeating Mirpurkhas by seven wickets at Municipal Sports Complex in Mirpurkhas on Saturday.

Mirpurkhas scored 149 while batting first with Asif Mehmood bagging 5-45.

In reply, Hyderabad made 265 in 63.5 overs as Daniyal Hussain scored 76 with the help of seven boundaries. Mohammad Qzzafi made 49 and Nasir Awais 44. Rehan Nizam claimed 6-75.

Mirpurkhas in their second innings were all out for 200 with Ghulam Abbas scoring 67 (nine boundaries and four sixes). Nasir Awais claimed 6-32.

Hyderabad then achieved the target of 84 in 22.2 overs.
