LAHORE: Four matches were played on the second day of the PFF National U-19 Women Football Champio­nship here at different grounds on Thursday.

After a goalless first half, Kainat scored the lone goal of the match on penalty kick in the 55th minute to help Khyber Pakhtunkhwa edge out Abbottabad 1-0 in the day’s closest match.

Two-goal Maleeha enabled Sindh to register an impressive 4-1 victory over Karachi Club. Maleeha struck in the 29th and 37th minutes while Laiba (15th) and Saadia (18th) netted a goal each.

For the losing side, Fatima fired the consolation goal in the 52nd minute.

The two other matches remained lopsided.

Four goals by Ghulam Fatima and a hat-trick by Mehreen Gul guided Punjab to a huge 8-0 win against Stars Club, Mirpur Khas. Ghulam Fatima scored in the 7th, 9th, 12th and 56th minutes while Mehreen also made her presence felt contributing goals in the 19th, 27th and 30th minutes. Sunaina completed the tally with one goal (49th).

Meanwhile, a superb five-goal show by Ehsal Fiaz helped Islamabad complete a mega 10-0 victory against Young Rising Stars, Layyah.

Ehsal earned goals in the 11th, 27th, 30th, 35th and 38th minutes. Iman Fiaz (2nd), Vera Ayub (9th), Yusra Malik (14th), Fiza Hussain (44th) and Aima Irfan (70th) chipped in with a goal each.
