RAHIM YAR KHAN, June 6: The Government Girls Primary School, Kocha Mir Muhammad Husain in Mohallah Kanjooan, is deprived of all basic facilities. Established before partition, the school has only five teachers for its over 200 students, while one post of the teacher is still vacant.

Only two rooms built in 1960 are insufficient to cater to the need of the growing number of students. Therefore, most of the classes are taken in the open. Students have to sit on mats to take their classes.

Running in a dilapidated building, the school is without furniture and drinking water facility. Moreover, it has no toilets, while the post of sweeper is lying vacant.

The district nazim had directed the upgradation of the school during his visit sometime back, but nothing has so far been done.
