Youth — the most enthusiastic and influential creatures found on our planet. I am sure we all know the importance of youth in the development of any country. But whenever I walk into my Dad’s room when he is watching TV, I get tired of listening to the talk shows with people shouting at each other in order to discuss a problem, with everyone claiming to be the most patriotic person present in the room.

Discussions can never solve a problem, neither can mere criticisms bring any revolutions. So, what to do?

This question is my only motivation that makes me watch those boring talk shows. The talk shows gave me an insight that youth is the most prominent factor for the success of any nation. Youth is the only group that has the courage to stop the wrong doings rather than just commenting on those problems.

Dr Annie says in her article that “As it is understood that the youth are the architects of a nation. The success of a nation is in the glorious and strong hands of our powerful youth.”

More interestingly, according to the statistics about 60 percent of the population in Pakistan is youth, because every third person in our country is aged 20-30 years.

Here I want to discuss, only one idea of this diverse topic — youth as the saviour of the nation in politics.

Most thankfully to Allah, I am grateful that nature has blessed us with very intelligent youth. Our country is a nation of talented individuals. But due to the socio economic conditions in Pakistan, our youth hesitate to enter politics. Politics is considered as distasteful by our youth. Every one wants a change, but no one dares to take the first step to bring about this change.

Politicians are the representatives of a nation. If we are unhappy with our political system, then it’s our responsibility to bring change in our country. Those who represent us are not the ones who deserve this. If we are not willing to represent the Pakistani youth, then no one is going to listen to what we want.

Youth always has new and effective ideas to deal with challenging problems. Their minds are sharp enough to justify modernisation and progress. They have the capability to deal with every problem in our country, but they do not have the platform to perform and express their ideas. They do not have their representatives who would listen and work on those precious ideas that can serve as the milestone for the nation. Our youth can become a saviour of the nation in a sense that it can change the socio-economical and financial conditions through their powerful ideas and innovative style of work.

Last but not the least, I am certain that only powerful and honest young politicians can revolutionise the system because politicians are the system makers and youth are the revolutionary factors.
