Funds for poultry

TOBA TEK SINGH, June 6: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool has announced providing financial assistance of Rs20,000 each to 100 people from the Baitul Maal funds for the poultry business in Toba district. Addressing a public gathering in Teku Park on the occasion of its inauguration, the governor said that cheques of Rs70,000 each would also be given to 90 hepatitis patients. Besides, he said that some 50 sewing machines to widows and needy women and 600 wheat bags to the poor would also be provided.

Earlier addressing at an inaugural ceremony of Faisalabad Agriculture University’s sub-campus here in the old Tehsil Council building, the governor said that an agriculture engineering, a four-year BSc course in poultry science and other diploma courses would also be introduced.
