Jockey contest open affair

LAHORE, June 4: The contest for winning honours for the Champion jockey of 2004-05 Lahore season, has become more interesting and wide open affair after the top jockey, M. Hanif fractured his collarbone last Sunday. Hanif, who was leading the jockeys performance table with 39 wins to his credit, fell from Empire Maker during the race and fractured his collarbone.

He was advised rest for at least two weeks by doctors. After Hanif Shahid Rehman is in the forefront with 36 victories.

He is being closely followed by Aamar Parvaiz 34 and Salah-ud-Din (II) 32.
