THE bomb blast in Mastung on July 13 killing 149 people is a brutal terrorist atrocity. However, this day will also be remembered for the height of insensitivity shown by the Pakistani people as a nation.

It was just another day for the common Pakistani but not for the media. They were out in strength to cover the political drama that was unfolding with the arrival of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam in Lahore. The media was so engrossed in this event that it failed to give due importance to the tragic events in Mastung.

Such attitudes reveal our insensitivity as a nation. My heart goes out to those who lost their loved ones in Mastung. May god rest their soul in peace and grant their families courage and fortitude to bear this loss.

THE Mastung massacre jolted entire Pakistan. When the bodies of innocent Baloch were lying in pools of blood, over insensitive media focused on the flight of Nawaz Sharif.

It is painful that Nawaz’s flight was given more importance than the massacred Baloch.

We Baloch have as much share in Pakistan as other people have.
