Bilour murder

Published July 18, 2018

THE murder of ANP leader Haroon Bilour in a suicide blast in Peshawar is shocking. He was young, energetic and liked by everyone.

It was believed that he would win the election because of strong support, and there was even talk of him becoming next chief minister.

The people of Peshawar have witnessed many crimes that were incorrectly blamed on terrorists. Once an incident is blamed on terrorists, its investigation also ends. But in most cases it was clear that the crimes were committed by the victims’ own relatives or locals.

I ask the police to investigate the murder of Haroon Bilour thoroughly. Luckily, there were many people making videos on their mobile phones at that time.

The police or the ANP can setup a website where these people can upload the videos for investigation. An appeal can be made to all who made the videos and pictures on that night to share them.

I am positive that if the police investigates this case using modern forensic science, they will find the murderer of the perished leader.
