CHARSADDA: A man assaulted a seven-year-old girl in Mirzai area in the jurisdiction of Battagram police station here on Wednesday.

Rehmanullah, father of the victim girl, reported to the Battagram police that his seven-year-old daughter went to a nearby tuck shop to buy snacks but when he returned home she was bleeding. He said they shifted her to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar.

The complainant alleged that the accused Wisal of the same village whisked away the girl to a deserted place where he subjected her to assault.

The police registered a case against the accused on the compliant of Rehmanullah, father of the victim girl, and in the light of the medical report and started investigation. The police have also arrested the accused.
