MIANWALI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, on his last leg of electioneering in his home district, held on Monday sizeable gatherings at Qamar Mushani (NA-95 and PP-85), Daudkhel (NA-95 and PP-86) and Piplan (NA-96 and PP-88).

At every gathering, his speeches revolved around the accountability of the rulers and his vows to bring back the looted resources to Pakistan from abroad.

He said Shahbaz Sharif, Saad Rafique and Khwaja Asif would soon be behind bars and in the company of their leaders Nawaz Sharif and Maryam in Adiala Jail.

Rana Sanaullah and Abid Sher Ali would meet their fate soon. He said whenever Nawaz was in hot waters, a spate of blasts would hit the country, calling the phenomena an intrigue. He said he was confident that terrorism would be defeated with the power of vote as this time the culture of rotation of power corridor would not succeed.

He spoke very briefly on his party’s manifesto, saying his first preference would be ensuring justice, free education and health facilities to the people.

He said it was a massive corruption by the rulers that resulted in the devaluation of rupee besides a hike in national debt. With the looted money, the rulers bought castles in London and America.

Mr Khan seemed confident about the landslide victory of his party in the elections, saying he would form his governments in the centre and four provinces. He said his candidates would also clean sweep the Mianwali district with the support of PTI tigers.

He again announced there would be no coalition with the PPP and the PML-N in case he failed to get the desired number in the elections. He said he would prefer to sit on opposition benches instead of becoming part of a coalition government.

He said he had constructed the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with a cost of Rs4bn while the PTI government planted trees worth Rs1.18bn. The PML-N government, on the other hand, destroyed the forests of Changa Manga, Kundian and Rajanpur.

In Daudkhel, Mr Khan assured the workers of the Agri Tech Fertilizer Factory to resolve their issues.
