KARACHI: Davis Cupper Yasir Khan eliminated Khalid Ali Nazar of Karachi Gymkhana in a well contested mens singles match in the first round of the 2nd EAM & SEM Memorial National Tennis Championship which got underway from Monday here at Karachi Gymkhana.

Yasir khan won 6-3,6-3 and dominated the match although Khalid also displayed fine strokes but could not get past his rival.

In other matches of the mens singles, Nauman Aftab cruised past Parbat Kumar while Vinod Das made shortwork of Aqeel Shabbir.

In the under-18 category, Rayyan Jawad faced stiff resistance from M Ali before winning the tough clash.
