SHANGLA: Awami National Party provincial president Ameer Haider Hoti has alleged that the last government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had left all its projects halfway due to non-availability of funds.

He was addressing a public meeting at Aloch Puran on Tuesday. Party’s candidates Haji Sadeed-ur-Rehman, Muttawakeel Khan and Faisal Zeb also spoke on the occasion.

“The PTI had no idea how to run the government and even could not complete the Swat Motorway project despite taking heavy loans,” Mr Hoti alleged.

He said PTI also failed to complete its much-trumpeted Bus Rapid Transit project in Peshawar.

He said the people of Buner and Shangla district suffered because of lack of roads, health and education facilities and that if his party came to power it would provide all such facilities.

The former chief minister said PML-N leader Amir Muqam was responsible for the backwardness of Shangla district, urging the people to support ANP candidates in the general elections just for the sake of Pakhtuns’ rights, development and their children’s future.

He claimed that the ANP was the only political party struggling for the betterment of Pakhtuns. He added that ANP would work on the promotion of tourism in the province which would help create job opportunities for the locals.

Scores of activists from various parties announced joining in the ANP on the occasion.
