MITH: Addressing a big gathering of supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and Ghousia Jamaat in Nagarparkar on Monday evening, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked people to vote for the PTI and GDA candidates if they wanted to bring about change in their lives and get rid of the “corrupt cronies of Asif Ali Zardari”.

He said that after the conviction of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and his henchmen would soon be put behind bars for “massive corruption” in the light of the findings of a JIT (joint investigation team) formed on the directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

He said that nobody would be allowed to steal the precious granite of Karoonjhar hills, adding that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had given the ticket for PS-55 to a person who was involved in the illegal contracts for granite and China clay from the hilly areas.

The PTI leader said the noose around Asif Zardari and other PPP leaders, who plundered public funds and stole the money of sugar cane growers, was being tightened. He expressed the hope that the FIA would soon arrest others accused involved in the scam.

He told the charged crowed that the PTI and GDA would form the next government in Sindh and recover all the looted money, adding that the recovered money would be spent on the welfare of the people of the backward areas.

Mr Qureshi alleged that the PPP government had not made concerted efforts to store rainwater in the hilly areas despite spending billions of rupees from the national exchequer. He said it was the need of the hour to construct more small dams and provide canal water in Nagarparkar through pipeline.

Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Abdul Razzak Rahimoon, Arbab Anwar Jabbar and other PTI and GDA leaders also spoke.
