ATTOCK: The PPP will work to end poverty, unemployment and high taxation if it comes to power, the party’s NA-55 candidate Zulfiqar Hayat Khan said during a corner meeting on Monday.

He said Bilawal Bhutto, the son of Benazir Bhutto, is carrying her mission to save democracy into future generations. The people once again want to witness great leadership, policies and the results of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

Mr Khan said the people of Attock want to be free of the rule of forced democracy, businessmen and landlords.

The people have checked and tested everyone and it is now time we make a government comprising the poor, he said.

Mr Khan also highlighted the grave problem of water facing the country, saying the stability of Pakistan would be in grave danger if more dams are not made.

He said work was also needed to bring improvement to the judicial system and for its prosperity.

PPP Attock district president Asher Hayat Khan, minority leader Sardar Rawinder Singh Jaggi, Syed Arif Shah, Badshah Gee Syed Irshad Shah, information secretary Raja Ammar, Haji Shafique Zarger and Baber Ali were also present.

Speaking to party workers at the residence of Arif Shah in Malperan Hassanabdal, PPP’s candidate for PP-3 Riaz Ahmed Balra said the people of the area were facing various problems, such as diseases and polluted water, and only the PPP could help them.
