KARACHI: Weather would remain cloudy to partly cloudy and a bit windy with some chances of drizzle at least for a week in Karachi, a Meteorological department official stated on Wednesday.

“What Karachiites are experiencing these days is the city’s normal weather during this part of the year, which is likely to continue for a week or so,” said Met director Shahid Abbas.

“This weather pattern, however, might get disrupted if the weather system likely to enter Pakistan after July 10 reaches Karachi.”

Temperature in Karachi in the next couple of days would remain between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, he added.

According to the information provided by the Met department, temperature was high in Nawabshah (42.5), Padidan (41.5), Dadu (41.4), Sakrand (41) and Moenjodaro (40.5), Larkana (39.5) and Sukkur (39.5).

Cooler districts included Karachi (33.5), Thatta (33.5), Badin (34.5), Hyderabad (37.5), Tandojam (37.5), Mirpurkhas (35.5), Chhor (35.8) and Mithi (36.5).

The maximum and minimum humidity ranged between 72pc and 67pc. The maximum wind speed was 17 knots.

Temperature in Karachi is expected to vary between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
