National boxing starts today

LAHORE, June 1: The 30th national boxing championship for the Punjab chief minister Gold Cup begins at the Atiq Stadium on Thursday. The tournament is being held under the auspices of the Punjab Boxing Association and will conclude on June 5.

The participating teams are Army, PAF, KPT, KESC, Wapda, Higher Education Commission, PTC, Pakistan Steel and four provinces.

The Punjab Association is hosting the event after 20 years.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Amateur Boxing Association has announced a 10-member team for participation in the championship.

Team: Wajid, Adnan, Muhammad Khan, Ashfaq Bhatti, Fakhar Abbas, Nauman Khan, Tasawar Abbas, Muhammad Zeeshan, Imran Bashir and Nadeem Malik.
