According to Twitter user Mushtaq Rajpar (@MushRajpar), the man in the purple kurta in the tweet below is an aspiring politician who is contesting as an independent from an unidentified constituency in Sindh.

The candidate, identified as Liaqat Meerani, has been described as a private school teacher. In these pictures, he is reportedly handing out books and stationery as part of a "barefoot" campaign to bring change in his constituency.

Can any of our readers verify if this is true; and, if it is, which constituency he belongs to? You can use the comments section to drop us whatever information you have.

We would love to try and interview him and find out more about his campaign promises.

Help us out!
