The ECP has asked the Punjab government to take "immediate corrective measures" after reports of harassment and threats to election candidates surfaced in Narowal and Multan.
The ECP secretary, in a letter to the Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Prof Hassan Askari, reminded him of a briefing he had given him and the other CMs and interim PM regarding threats to political leaders and poll candidates, and expressed disappointment that the authorities had "yet to take the bull by the horns".
