LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday finalised candidates for the central Punjab regions – starting from NA-52 (Islamabad-I) to NA-149 (Sahiwal-III) – and asked them to collect their tickets from Bilawal House (Lahore).

Of the 97 seats falling in the area, around 19 have been left open and the rest 78 seats will be contested by the party stalwarts like Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat (NA-114), Qamaruz Zaman Qaira (NA-70) and Samina Khalid Ghurki (NA-132).

The party has nominated Shahzad Naul from NA-144 (Okara) where its central Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo is contesting as an independent.

The seats left vacant include NA-57, NA-78, NA-83, NA-92, NA-105, NA-110, NA-112, NA-113, NA-115, NA-116, NA-117, NA-119, NA-120, NA-122, NA-123, NA-126, NA-128, NA-137, NA-138, NA-139, NA-140, NA-143, NA- 145 and NA-147.
