SUKKUR: Former chairman of Senate and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s candidate for NA-196 (Jacobabad) Muhammedmian Soomro has hit out at Pakistan Peoples Party and said that people have fed up with the corrupt coterie of PPP leaders whose corruption have destroyed all government departments.

He said at a public meeting in Ahmed Mian Soomro village near Jacobabad on Saturday night that people had now recognised faces of the corrupt gang of PPP leaders who had wrecked havoc with Jacobabad.

The previous government did nothing to provide basic facilities to people and resolve nagging problem of shortage of clean drinking water, he said.

PTI candidate for PS-1 (Jacobabad) Mohammad Aslam Abro, Sardar Sajjad Buledi, Sardar Sakhi Abdul Razzak Khoso, Anwar Soomro and others said that people had faced innumerable atrocities during the long PPP rule. Citizens were deprived of basic facilities of healthcare and education and youths were jobless, they said.

They said that members of Hindu community were targeted to compel them to leave Jacobabad.

They vowed to carry out development works in Jacobabad including betterment of drainage system, provision of clean and sweet drinking water to citizens and government jobs to the jobless youth after they came to power.

On this occasion, PPP leader Raees Bahadur Soomro announced quitting the party and supporting the panel of Muhammedmian Soomro.

PPP’s popularity is still intact, says Jakhrani

PPP candidate for NA-196 (Jacobabad) Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani has said that the party’s opponents are venting frustration over the fact that PPP’s popularity is still intact among people.

He said at a public meeting organised by Kato community in Channa Muhalla in Jacobabad on Saturday night that the party would once again inflict a humiliating defeat on their opponents in upcoming general election.

Meanwhile, PPP Larkana divisional president and candidate for NA-196 (Jacobabad) arrived in Mirpur Buriro along with Mir Fahad Jakhrani, Mir Sabir Jakhrani and others and met chieftain of Buriro community Sardar Saddam Khan Buriro to convince him to support Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani. Mr Buriro announced supporting Mr Jakhrani after the meeting.
