QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) secretary general Dr Jahanzeb Jamaldini has issued a show-cause notice to Farzana Ali Baloch, saying that by joining the caretaker government of Balochistan she has violated the party’s discipline.

Ms Baloch has been inducted into the provincial government and given the portfolio of social welfare, population minorities’ affairs and women development.

She was elected as member of the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation in the local bodies’ election of 2014 on a ticket of the BNP-M.

In the written show-cause notice, the BNP-M secretary general said Ms Baloch had violated the party’s discipline by ignoring BNP-M chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal’s advice. Therefore, he added, a show-cause notice had been issued to her, asking her to submit a reply to the party’s president within 15 days.

According to the notice, strict action would be taken against Ms Baloch if she failed to submit a reply within 15 days.
