Karachi Garment City board

KARACHI, May 30: The ministry of textile industry has constituted a 17-member board of directors of the Karachi Garment City Company. Out of these, two representatives will be from the federal government, one from the Sindh government and the remaining 14 will be from the private sector.

According to a notification of the ministry, the prime minister had also given his nod for the composition of members of the board. The two ex-officio of the federal government will be secretaries of the ministry of textile industry and the ministry of commerce, while the third will be the secretary of the industries, commerce and investment department, government of Sindh.

The remaining 14 members nominated from the private sector are: Wajid Jawad, Tahir Aziz, Masood Naqi, Aziz Memon, Aslam Karsaz, Shabir Ahmed, Asif Riaz Tata, Khawaja Usman, Javaid Bilwani, Aftab Karimie, Badar Kazmi, Mahmood Mandviwala, Masood Naqi (senior partner of the KPMG) and Maqsood Ismail.
