KHUZDAR: The Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) have agreed on a seat-to-seat adjustment in national and provincial assemblies’ constituencies in Khuzdar.

According to sources, BNP-M chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal will soon visit Khuzdar in connection with the election campaign and during his stay in the town further negotiations are expected with the JUI-F leadership for the seat-to-seat adjustment.

Meanwhile, former senator and Balochistan National Party-Awami president Mir Israrullah Zehri has reached Khuzdar while Sardar Aslam Bizenjo of the National Party is already in town for political consultations.

These leaders are filing nomination papers for NA-269 Khuzdar as well as Balochistan Assembly seats.

Local Jamaat-i-Islami leader Muhammad Aslam, who revolted against a decision of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal of which his party is a component, has also filed his nomination papers for NA-269 and PB-39-Khuzdar, while the Pakistan Peoples Party has fielded Khalid Advocate and Khuda-i-Noor Khadrani for NA-269 and PB-39, respectively.

The newly-founded Balochistan Awami Party has awarded a ticket to Mir Gul Khan Sasoli for PB-39.
