PAKISTAN has been officially declared a water scarce country with 2025 being the year it is expected to completely run out of water. However, this hasn’t stopped the citizens of Pakistan in being extravagant with their wastage of this scarce resource in their daily lives, nor have any local leaders stepped forward with sustainability projects to overcome this matter.
On the other hand, the German ambassador in Islamabad, Martin Kobler, set a great example by posting on social media a picture of him washing his car with a bucket.
A bucket approximately saves 100 litres as opposed to using running tap water to wash a car. The German ambassador encourages us to follow his example and save ourselves from this impending crisis.
