PESHAWAR, May 28: Provincial spokesman for Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), Mufti Kifayatullah has condemned the blast at Bari Imam’s shrine and termed it an act aimed at fanning sectarianism. Speaking at a press conference here at the office of Nifaz-i-Shariat on Saturday, Mufti Kifayat said certain anti-state elements wanted to create anarchy in the country and for this purpose such incidents were being planned.

The MMA spokesman said due to coalition of religious parties sectarian unity established in the country was not tolerable to vested elements. Explosion at Bari Imam shrine was condemnable after incidents in Gilgit, he observed.—APP
