PIA booking

I FREQUENTLY fly PIA from Karachi to Multan and Karachi to Sukkur. Its fare was about Rs8,000 for both routes. But recently a new trend has been observed.

One hardly gets tickets in advance as the system informs us that all seats have been sold out. At the eleventh hour, the tickets are sold at a much higher price which is about Rs18,000.

Surprisingly, when we board the plane, we find many seats vacant. The matter needs to be investigated as I have come to know that tickets are purchased by some agents in advance just to fleece passengers.

Is PIA ticketing system not computerised and is the pricing mechanism not being followed?
