KARACHI: Opener Usman Javed continued his brilliant form to become the first player to score successive centuries in the 31st Aga Khan Gymkhana T20 Ramazan cricket tournament as Jaffer Brothers stormed into the quarter-finals with a 54-run win against Acme Technologies on Saturday.

Jaffer Brothers’ second straight success was set up by man-of-the-match Usman, who clubbed 11 fours and six sixes in making 112 from just 63 deliveries at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground.

Batting first, Jaffer Brothers posted 215-6 in the Group ‘A’ fixture before restricting Acme Technologies to 154-9.

Left-arm pace bowler Zia-ul-Haq grabbed three wickets for 19 runs while slow left- armer Hafiz Shahid captured three for 24.
