Water issue

Published May 27, 2018

I LIVE in a small village in Gujrat district. Our village, named Shadiwal, is home to about 200 families but is lacking in many facilities.

The most pressing issue facing our village is the disposal of sewerage water. In the absence of a proper drainage system, the waste water collects near our village and seeps into the ground. This is affecting the water table in the village surroundings and is responsible for the spread of diseases. There is a perpetual bad odour in the atmosphere in the village surroundings.

I request the district authorities to arrange for a proper disposal of the effluent.
