HYDERABAD: The revised detailed layout plan of Kotri Satellite Township Scheme, which envisages settlement of 10,000 shelterless families in the first phase, will be submitted to the Provincial Government for final approval, and allocation of funds, shortly. This decision was taken at a meeting held here on Monday [May 20] under the chairmanship of the Commissioner of Hyderabad, Mr Masrur Hasan Khan. Besides other officers concerned Mr Mazhar Munir, adviser, Town Planning, West Pakistan Government, also attended the meeting.

The layout plan for the new satellite township, which covers 1,440 acres, has been divided into 10 major sectors of which nine will be residential units, while the tenth will be a central civic, commercial and recreational unit.

Mr Masrur Hasan Khan stressed that there should be larger number of smaller plots for the lower income group of people. Out of the total number of plots to be laid out, 86 per cent should be smaller plots. — Correspondent
